Make a Weekly Meal Plan. I didn’t really have much of a meal plan this week because my husband wasn’t around for many dinners and we had some plans in evening as well. I can report that I only went to the store to get things I actually needed.
Try Two New Recipes Each Week. I am always on the lookout for an easy gluten free chocolate chip cookie and gave these a try. They were wonderful and even my critical husband loved them and had no complaints about the lack of gluten or sugar. I am trying to make as many items from scratch as possible, I decided I haven’t had thousand island dressing in awhile and wanted to try out a kind that wasn’t from a bottle. I used this recipe and the outcome was off the charts, so much better than any kind in a bottle.
Waste Less Food. I ended up having to throw away some herbs that could no longer be used but other than that I have been good sticking to wasting less food.
Make Bed Daily. I slipped back into my old ways this week and only made the bed about half of the time. Can I blame my slacking on some early morning things I had to get done this week?
Read 52 books. I love a good chick flick type book because they are easy to read and nice this time of year with Valentine’s Day coming up. I read Chasing Harry Winston and it didn’t take me long at all to get through. Hopefully, I will soon decide to start reading some more serious books.
Focus on decorating the house. We received the new washer and dryer that we ordered since our old washer bit the dust and our dryer was 15 plus years old. Also, we ordered some cabinets for the laundry room but won’t receive those for around another 3 weeks.
Donate unused items. I have a new stock of items I have started to take to donate, it is mainly clothes at this point. I am aiming to add some home items to the stash before I make a trip to drop off the items.
Did you have a good weekend?
